Anti-Oxidant Powerhouse™

Oxidative stress, simply put is a problem in the normal redox state of cells that causes damage to all components of cells through peroxides and free radicals. Oxidative stress is thought to cause many long-term diseases and conditions. Anti-oxidants mitigate oxidative stress. At Avisae, we wanted to include some of the most potent forms of nature's natural anti-oxidants, many of these are the world's best superfruits.
  • Acai – (Euterpe oleracea) Known for its ability to increase energy levels, improve digestive functioning, enhancing mental clarity, detoxifying and cleansing the system, slowing the natural process of aging and increasing the skin's vitality, acai is considered one of the most nutrient dense foods.*
  • Noni – (Morinda citrifolia) has been used by Polynesians as a traditional folk medicinal plant for more than 2,000 years. Traditionally, it has been used for various maladies including GI upset and minor aches and pains. Research has validated noni's antioxidant properties.*
  • Goji – (Lycium spp.) Goji berry has been used in China dated as far back as 2800 B.C. Shen Nung, the legendary First Emperor, who was an herbalist, used the goji berry for its health properties. It is used in traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to support kidney and lung health. Goji is also rich in vitamins A, C, and E as well as the antioxidant carotenoids beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin.*
  • Maqui – (Aristoelia chilensis) is a berry found in South America. This berry has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used as a natural remedy for joint and cardiovascular health. It is rich in phytonutrients called anthocyanins. Preliminary research suggests the maqui berry's anthocyanins may help promote healthy cholesterol levels and relieve joint pain.*
  • Bilberry – (Vaccium myrtillus) is a close relative to blueberry. Bilberry has been used historically for many ailments. It has been used for topical relief of minor inflammation, gastrointestinal issues, and for various eye maladies, including poor night vision and eyestrain. It is also rich in anthocyanins, which have antioxidant, vascular protective, and anti-inflammatory properties.*

Telomere Support

Shortened telomeres have recently become linked directly to the process of aging and managing and supporting telomeres has been linked to longer telomere's, which in turn helps with healthier living and reduced signs of aging. Basically, telomere's length is a sign of biological aging. Avisae's proprietary formulation provides overall telomere support to help you sustain your youth.

Our bodies naturally produce a molecule that provides oxidative stress relief called Glutathione. It's considered your body's master antioxidant. Glutathione not only neutralizes free radicals, but also strengthens our immune systems, removes toxins from our bodies and fights inflammation at a cellular level. Avisae's proprietary formulation helps increase the production of Glutathione to maximize the reduction of oxidative stress and increase the overall benefits of Glutathione.

Weight Loss

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), more than one-third of adults (age 18 and older) in America are obese. This is more than 83 million US adults, who are considered obese. Even more alarming is the prevalence of persons, who are considered overweight. A whopping two-thirds (almost 155 million) of the US adult population is considered overweight. The prevalence of overweight and obesity is at an all-time high in the United States.

Obesity related conditions include heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer (such as breast, ovarian, prostate, and colon). These are considered some of the leading causes of preventable death. Being overweight or obese also contributes conditions like sleep apnea and osteoarthritis. An estimated $147 billion dollars is spent on medical costs for people who are obese.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) suggests as confirmed by numerous studies to restrict caloric intake concurrently with increasing physical activity as the primary means for successful weight loss. Even a small percent of weight loss of 5% to 15% can significantly improve and help prevent many of the medical conditions associated with weight gain.

Globally, the number of people who are overweight and obese is growing. It is becoming more prevalent and is an ever increasing issue. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts there will be 2.3 billion overweight adults worldwide by the 2015 and more than 700 million of them will be considered obese. The rate of obesity in the world has doubled since the year 1980. In 2008, 1.5 billion adults (age 20 and older) were overweight and of these, over 200 million men and nearly 300 million women were obese. Sixty-five percent of the world's population live in countries where conditions of overweight and obesity kill more people than underweight.

MetaBIOlize™ focuses on providing an overall
  • Raspberry ketones, a natural constituent of raspberries, have been used in many popular and top-selling weight loss products for their metabolic enhancing effect. Ketones of the raspberry are responsible for their fruity aromatic properties and is commonly used as a flavoring agent in foods and beverages.*

One raspberry constituent or ketone, called 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl) butan-2-one, may have the potential to support the metabolism of fat by reducing the accumulation of fat in the body. It appears to do this through two primary mechanisms of action: first, by the reduction of the absorption of dietary fat, and second, by increasing fat lipolysis or breakdown of fats for more immediate use as energy.

Two animal studies using raspberry ketones demonstrated its ability to boost the break-up of fat cells by increasing the secretion of adiponectin and norepinephrine, while on a high-fat diet. Adiponectin regulates the proper metabolism of sugar and fat in the blood.*

  • Green coffee bean extract (50% chlorogenic acid)

Green coffee refers to raw or unroasted beans or seeds of Coffea fruits. They are sometimes referred to as coffee berries or cherries. Green coffee beans contain literally hundreds of natural constituents and some of them have been identified in research to have beneficial physiological effects. A primary component of green coffee bean, chlorogenic acid (an antioxidant polyphenol) has been the subject of a good amount of scientific research and its effect in the body.

Chlorogenic acid in green coffee beans have been shown to support proper glucose metabolism in animal and clinical models. This possible benefit was first observed through association of high coffee consumption and the reduced risk of type 2 diabetes in several epidemiological studies. In an oral glucose tolerance test, chlorogenic acid reduced the raise of blood glucose levels. The study's authors surmised this to be due to a reduction of glucose absorption in the intestines.*

In a recent clinical study published in journal in Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity, two-thirds of the study participants, who took a green coffee bean extract standardized to 45% chlorogenic acids for 22 weeks, lost significant body weight, reduced their body fat percentage, and reduced their body mass index (BMI).*

This study of 16 participants utilized the highest standards of clinical research, which included a double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over design. According to this study, significant reductions in body weight (-8.04 + 2.31 kg or 16.08 lbs), BMI (-2.92 + 0.85) and body fat percentage (-4.44% + 2.00%) were observed.*

Interestingly, in a post-trial phone interview, 4 months after the completion of the study, 14 of the 16 subjects maintained their initial weight loss seen at the completion of the study. The two remaining participants had gained only 1 kg (about 2 pounds) and 0.75 kg (about 1.5 pounds) of body weight.*

All participants were given counsel on how to eat properly and to exercise routinely, but were not given a specific diet or exercise regimen to follow. Data was gathered from participants on daily calorie intake and eating habits. According to this data, study participants ate a diet consisting of about 2400 calories a day.*

In several clinical trials, green coffee bean extracts also have been shown to maintain healthy blood pressure levels and to lower post meal blood sugar levels.

  • Garcinia cambogia Extract (50% Hydroxycitric acid) is a purple fruit, which is native to Southeast Asia. Hydroxycitric acid (HCA), a primary component thought to aid weight loss, is found in the rind of the fruit. Historically, Garcinia has been used as an appetite suppressant, food preservative, flavoring agent, and an aid to occasional gastrointestinal upset.*

HCA appears to block the enzyme citrate lyase, which is responsible for converting carbohydrates into fat. Excess carbohydrate (or sugars) not utilized can be transformed and stored in the body as fat. By limiting this enzyme, the body cannot store as much fat. HCA also promotes the oxidation of fat. This is the process whereby fat is metabolized and converted into energy. In preclinical research, HCA appears to promote an increase of serotonin levels, which may help with appetite suppression and the elevation of a positive outlook.*

Inflammation and Health

When injured our body's immune system responds and the affected area usually turns red and swollen and becomes painful. This is called acute inflammation. Did you know every day the majority of us deal with chronic or low-grade inflammation? It can literally go undetected for years and even decades. Over the last ten years, a significant amount of scientific research has been done to look at the role of inflammation in aging and normal age-related complications. When talking about inflammation, we are not referring to acute inflammation. Surprisingly, new research is discovering inflammation has been linked to cardiovascular, metabolic, emotional, brain, cell, and even bone health.

In our bodies we have pro-inflammatory chemicals and anti-inflammatory chemicals. The trouble starts when these normal chemicals are out of balance. Avisae OptimALL Nutrition relieve™ is a unique and proprietary formula designed to help your body respond properly to these naturally-occurring chemicals in a healthy way. It provides nutritional support to help promote a healthy inflammatory response in the body.*

Optimal Inflammation Response & Joint Health

  • Glucosamine is a compound naturally produced in the body. It is a principal substance used in the production of certain macromolecules found in articular cartilage. Several randomized controlled clinical trials support the use of glucosamine sulfate in improving joint function and mobility, especially in the knees. These studies suggest glucosamine sulfate found in synovial fluid (joint lubricant) strengthens cartilage and aids the production of glycosaminoglycan. Glycosaminoglycans assist in the maintenance of joint tissue. Glycosaminoglycans also repair normal damage associated with everyday living and aging. Glucosamine may also have a mild effect on balancing inflammatory mediators. Since the vast majority of clinical studies have used glucosamine sulfate, it is probable that other forms of glucosamine are ineffective.
  • Calcium fructoborate (FruiteX-B®) is a fruit mineral complex found naturally in fruits, nuts, legumes and vegetables. The complex is chemically known as calcium fructoborate. FruiteX-B is a significant breakthrough for those concerned with bone and joint health and healthy aging. In a pilot study, 79% of participants reported significant increases in joint comfort and flexibility after 8 weeks of supplementation. Participants in yet another study reported a 66% increase in knee comfort after taking FruiteX-B in combination with vitamin C and vitamin D.

FruiteX-B works by helping the body to maintain healthy levels of vitamin D. Better vitamin D metabolism can help the body absorb more calcium. Proper calcium levels play a major role in maintaining proper bone health. Extensive clinical research has also linked inadequate concentrations of vitamin D to the occurrence of nonspecific joint discomfort. In vivo studies have confirmed that FruiteX-B can enter the bloodstream fully intact.

Avisae OptimALL Nutrition Actisity™
  • White Willow (Salix alba) Bark Extract has been used as a natural remedy dating back to Hippocrates (400 BC). It also has been used for hundreds of years in China and Europe as a relieving remedy. Today people use it to provide joint and back relief and to improve mobility and flexibility. White willow bark contains salicin, which is similar to the chemical found in aspirin. White willow was listed in the 1st through 10th editions of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) until it was replaced by aspirin.

  • This herb works by promoting a healthy balance of inflammatory mediators. White willow has been the subject of several randomized clinical trials, which have shown benefit to both the back and knees by improving joint comfort and mobility. Avisae OptimALL Nutrition Actisity includes a premium-quality willow bark extract standardized to 15% salicin to ensure consistent results.*
  • Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from pineapple. It assists with the digestion of proteins and helps promote a proper balance of inflammatory mediators such as thromboxane, kininogen and bradykinin. Introduced in 1957, Bromelain is regarded as safe and has been used in many clinical trials.*
  • Quercetin, an antioxidant flavonoid, occurs naturally in foods such as red wine, onions, green tea, apples, berries, broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage. It has been used traditionally to support the cardiovascular system. Preclinical research suggests it helps by inhibiting the oxidation of LDL cholesterol. Randomized clinical trials have shown quercetin helps maintain normal blood pressure and promotes a healthy immune system after exercise.
  • Resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant and anti-aging nutrient, is a natural compound found in over 70 species of plants. It is a component of grapes, nuts, pine, and red wine. According to animal and preliminary research, Resveratrol may have various anti-aging benefits as well as have the ability to increase life span. Resveratrol is believed to be primary contributing factor of the "French paradox." The French have significantly healthier cardiovascular systems when compared to other industrialized countries with similar risk profiles. Their healthy hearts are believed to be due to their consumption of red wine, which is rich in resveratrol.
  • Myrrh - Recorded in New Testament history, myrrh was given as a priceless gift to the newborn baby Jesus. Its use as a medicinal has been identified to go as far back as 5,000 years. Myrrh is a resin derived from the bark of Commiphora trees found primarily in Eastern Africa and Arabia. It is commonly used as an aromatic and incense. Traditionally, myrrh has been used for a variety of ailments including occasional indigestion, immune health, and joint mobility.*
  • Yucca - Yucca, used for medicinal purposes, is derived from the root of the tree. Traditionally it is used for joint health, mild stomach discomfort and cardiovascular health. Some components of yucca have antioxidant properties. Based on preliminary research, resveratrol and yuccaols found in yucca may have the ability to promote a healthy inflammatory response in the body and help relieve stiffness.*
  • Saffron - Saffron has a long historical use as a spice, medicine and coloring agent. One pound of saffron requires 75,000 blossoms, which are literally hand-picked. As a result of its limited ability to be harvested, saffron is one of the world's most expensive spices. The price of one ounce of saffron can cost between $50 and $300. Its use was recorded by the Greek and Roman civilizations. Preclinical research evaluating the plant's mechanisms of action demonstrate it has antioxidant properties, promotes a healthy inflammatory response, supports normal cell proliferation, and may support the cardiovascular system.*
